Steve Hedges has been a resident of Odd Down for over thirty years, and has served as their voice on the Council for twenty years. Steve is the only councillor to run a weekly surgery for residents, offering advice and addressing casework in the community. His successes as a Councillor include preventing the destruction of the Odd Down playing fields, and has continued to protect its legacy as a great sports hub. In addition, Steve has fought with residents to prevent housing from being built on the green belt, and continues to navigate communication now as the building begins. Over the years, Steve has helped save the community centre, and campaigned against the closing of the Culverhay and BCA schools. In Odd Down, Steve would fight for a vocational school to be built where the BCA once stood. In addition, Steve is a member of the Odd Down community association.
